British Columbia Pay Transparency is in Effect! ๐Ÿ’ฐ

November 01, 2023

As of November 1st, 2023, the British Columbia Pay Transparency Law is in effect.

This means employers are now required to list the salary range in job descriptions for all British Columbia jobs.

Image #1

Luckily, you write your jobs in Datapeople and we make complying with this law easy. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

  • If we don't detect compensation in your post, our sidebar guidance will alert you to add compensation details and we will list the job in your Compliance Report
  • When you do detail compensation, we'll highlight it in green ๐Ÿ‘

We know that including salary information in your job ad can reduce bias and unequal treatment in the hiring process while helping to attract qualified candidates.

As more laws go into effect, we will, of course, continue to update our platform. For more information on what to disclose when, where, and why, read more here โฏ

Introducing Nudges: Market-calibrated jobs, made easy!

September 21, 2023

You asked, and we listened. With Nudges, you'll now get content suggestions on what to add (not just remove) from your job posts ๐Ÿฅณ

Nudges are based on job title and location, delivering job-specific content recommendations that ensure your job posts are market-calibrated and provide the information job seekers are looking for.

Image #1

Nudges will appear as small red or blue plus signs on the side of your job post if we detect that your job is missing important, market-calibrated information.

๐Ÿ”ต Blue Nudges: Will appear anytime evergreen job content, such as benefits, is missing. These Nudges do not have a score impact, but can improve the appeal of your jobs to candidates.

๐Ÿ”ด Red Nudges: Will appear when job-specific responsibilities or requirements are missing. These Nudges have a job score impact due to their effect on candidate pool size and quality. Some red Nudges will even remove the guesswork for you and provide text to auto-add to your job post with just one click.

We hope you find these Nudges helpful to your job writing process!

๐Ÿ”’ Header and footer template locking has arrived!

May 25, 2023

You asked, and we listened! We've added new lockable header and footer sections to your templates, allowing Admins to create and control well-defined templates that define the structure for your job postings (without compromising on the seamless job editing experience our editors know and love).

Ready to get started?:

  • Admins, head to 'Templates' under 'Settings'
  • Click on any existing template or create a new template
  • At the top and bottom of each field* you'll see the purple lock icon indicating where you can add lockable content

  • Describe all major benefits (ex: health care, dental, etc.)
  • Specify non-wage compensation (ex: bonuses, commissions, etc.)
