Explore Datapeople's Pass-through Report
The Pass-through Report, part of Datapeople's Process Insights, is your source of truth for understanding how applicants pass through your hiring process.
Datapeople's Pass-through Report contains vital information about how applicants are passing through your hiring process, surfacing points of efficiency and inefficiency in your processes and helping you plan your pipeline based on historical data. It can answer questions like:
- What percentage of applicants are hired?
- What percentage of applicants from one stage make it to the next stage?
- How many applications have we historically needed to make one hire?
- Does that number differ by department, geography, or other factors?
- Which steps in our process filter out the most applicants? (These could be intentional filters, or they could be barriers to making a hire.)
Pass-through rates are sometimes referred to as recruiting funnels, pipelines or conversion rates.
At Datapeople, we represent pass-through rates in two ways:
- The overall pass-through rate is the percentage of all applicants who make it through the whole process and are ultimately hired.
- Stage-by-stage pass-through rates look at the advancement of candidates from one stage to the next.
You can view this information in the bar graphs at the top of the report, or in the table at the bottom:
In the above example, we see that there were 17, 776 total applications, and 760 of those (or 4.3%) passed through to the screening stage. 218 of those candidates (or 28.7%) passed through to the assessment stage, and 94 of them (or 43.1%) were extended offers. Of those, 52 (or 55.3%) were hired.
Active Candidates refer to candidates who are still in that stage of the process--i.e., they have not yet advanced to the next stage or been hired, rejected, or dropped out.
Net Applications refer to the total number of resolved (inactive) candidates--i.e., candidates who have moved past this stage and have been hired, rejected, or dropped out at a later stage.
