Datapeople Product Updates in 2021
More specific Benefits Guidance π
December 19, 2021
Now more than ever, you must tell job seekers about your total rewards to attract diverse, qualified candidate pools and fill roles quickly.
For job posts that are as effective as they can be, we've updated our guidance around benefits and perks to include:
- Smarter benefits language detection
- More tailored guidance by country
- Better distinction between benefits and perks
- More green Highlights! π
If you notice that your Job Scores have temporarily dropped or it feels tougher to reach that "Benefits included" milestone, don't worry β more rigorous guidance means more compelling job posts that strengthen your candidate pipeline.
In the "Benefits" Section of your job or Template, just follow our Nudges and make sure to explicitly mention β not allude or link to β your individual benefits and perks, like "health insurance" or "on-site daycare center." π£

Similar Jobs now in-app π―
December 09, 2021
Writer's block?
You can now scan Similar Jobs right inside Language Analytics, without leaving your job. π€
The new Similar Jobs modal displays β you guessed it! β jobs that are similar to the one youβre writing based on your company and jobβs requirements, qualifications, and location.
Listings that appear in Similar Jobs have not necessarily been optimized by Datapeople, but you can click through and read these posts to get ideas. π‘
Hover over "Similar Jobs" in the top navigation bar and select any featured job post to get started!
Optimal job length π
How long is too long when it comes to a job post?
476 words β in some cases.
The ideal job post length actually depends on the seniority of the job, and thanks to our latest guidance, you'll never have to guess what that target word count is again. π₯³
Notice a tip in your sidebar that says something like, "Your job is a little too short" or "Your job is exceptionally long?" Hover over it to see the exact word count you should aim for to attract a healthy, diverse, and qualified candidate pool.
If your ATS automatically adds content β such as a diversity statement β to your published job posts, we've got you covered.
No need to do the math; if your account has a complete ATS integration, your target word count specifically includes only the text you need to write in Datapeople. Follow our guidance and voilΓ β when you publish, your job will be just the right length! π
A better browser extension π§©
Our browser extension is available for Microsoft Edge! Here's how to install it.
More at home in Chrome? We've also made some changes to the Chrome extension so you can do more directly in your ATS. When using the Chrome extension to write or edit a job post, you can now:
- Apply a Template
- View your word count
- View Revision History
- Estimate the size of your candidate pool
- Access the Pipeline Health Meter (if your post is live)
Next time you open a job post in your ATS, click the Datapeople logo to try the enhanced extension!
We've redesigned our editor! π
September 29, 2021
Our editor looks a bit different today β and while we were busy redesigning, we made it even easier to use. It's the same editor you know, just better.
Check out this short video to learn how our new interface, keyboard shortcuts, and other updates make writing and editing job posts and recruiting emails a breeze. π
More actionable Title Guidance π
June 18, 2021
Our improved Title Guidance now tells you whether to remove, replace, or add text in your job title. And, of course, what to remove, replace, or add and why.
Title Guidance is some of the most impactful guidance in Language Analytics. When the title of your job is inconsistent with the rest of the post, job seekers who meet your requirements may never even discover or read your listing. π
Notice more red Highlights, blue Highlights, and blue plus signs in your job titles? Hover over them and follow our tips to match your titles to the terms qualified candidates search for.
Remember, potential candidates can't apply to jobs they canβt find!
