Flagship Job Posts

Flagship Jobs are best-in-class examples of job postings selected by your team's admins to guide job creation. They provide a trusted reference point for writing jobs that align with your team's standards for quality, consistency, and completeness.

Why It Matters

Without clear, accessible examples of high-quality jobs, teams often struggle to consistently produce postings that meet your internal standards. This can lead to inconsistent job descriptions, more review cycles, and added effort for hiring managers and recruiters alike.

Flagship Jobs solve this by giving your team a trusted source of truth - a reliable set of model jobs to work from that you control. By curating a small set of strong, reusable jobs, you help your team move faster, reduce mistakes, and maintain the integrity of your job library as it grows.

Tip: When it comes to Flagship jobs, less is more. The Flagship Library is most useful when it's curated intentionally - not overloaded.

What's in a Flagship Job?

Flagship Jobs focus on job-specific content, such as responsibilities, qualifications, and role scope. They do not include standard company content like benefits or values (that's what Templates are for).

A good Flagship Job is:

  • Clear, complete, and well-structured
  • Aligned with your team's tone, voice, and hiring criteria
  • Free from internal-only notes or outdated language

When an admin creates a Flagship Job, Datapeople creates a clean new version of that job (without comments, share keys, or revision history) so it's free of internal context.

Flagship Jobs are stored in a dedicated library, separate from regular drafts, so your team can quickly find the examples they need without digging through unrelated jobs or outdated postings.

Flagship Job FAQs

Q: Who can designate jobs as Flagship?

Only admins can designate jobs as Flagship. This ensures each one is carefully reviewed and truly represents a best-in-class example.

Q: Can Flagship Jobs be assigned or created in bulk?

No. Flagship Jobs are meant to be curated individually to maintain quality and intentionality.

Q: Can non-admins suggest jobs to become Flagship?

Yes. While non-admins can't directly designate jobs as Flagship, they can suggest candidate jobs by tagging an admin in a comment. This creates a simple, trackable handoff for review.

Q: Where do Flagship Jobs live?

Flagship Jobs are housed in their own dedicated Flagship Library, separate from regular drafts.

Q: What happens when a non-admin duplicates a Flagship Job?

A new private draft is created. It contains the job-specific content from the Flagship Job, ready to be edited and published.

Q: What happens when an admin unflags a Flagship Job?

It becomes a regular Datapeople public draft. It's now editable, searchable, and fully part of your Draft Library.
