Explore Datapeople's Gender Report
Datapeople's Gender Report, part of our Process Insights, tracks gender representation to ensure your hiring process is equitable at every stage.
Datapeople's Gender Report contains crucial information about the gender breakdown of your candidate pool at every stage, surfacing any stages where one gender is passing through at a higher rate than another. It can answer questions like:
- What is the breakdown of male/female applicants and hires?
- What is the gender representation by stage?
- Do any stages appear to have disparities in pass-through by gender?
Hovering over points on the line graph will show the gender breakdown of the applicant pool at each stage in your hiring process:
The bar graph on the right-hand side will show whether one gender category is advancing at a higher rate at each stage. For example, in the graph below, male candidates are advancing at a significantly higher rate in the Hired stage, while female candidates are advancing at a slightly higher rate in the Screening, Assessment, and Offer stages:
The table at the bottom of the report shows the pass-through rates for each gender at each stage:
What data is used to power the Gender Report?
Datapeople uses a global probability model based on the first name a candidate puts on their application. This model is more than 90% accurate when compared to candidate self-reporting. You can learn more here.
Why don't I see the Gender Report in my account?
If you don’t see the Gender Report, it’s likely because your ATS isn’t integrated with Datapeople. Reach out to your Customer Success Manager to learn more about integrating, which allows deeper insights into your recruiting data via this and other Reports.
It's also possible that the Admins on your account have restricted access to this report. Due to the sensitive nature of the data, the Gender Report has a specific permission structure:
- Restrictive: Only Datapeople Admins can see the Gender Reports.
- Permissive: Everyone can view the Gender Report
Updating the permission structure requires approval from your organization’s Datapeople Admin.
Why am I receiving a warning on the data table?
A warning on the data table indicates that, for the chosen date range, our gender inference model was unable to determine the gender of enough candidates to give a clear picture around your gender analytics for that date range. Read more here.
