Troubleshooting Datapeople Anywhere on Chrome
If Datapeople Anywhere is not working, try these steps first.
Update the extension
While Chrome will usually update your extensions automatically, you should check to ensure that you are using the latest version.
- Start Google Chrome.
- Click the vertical ellipsis icon on the browser toolbar.
- Select Extensions -> Manage Extensions.
- Toggle on "Developer mode" in the top right.
- Near the top left, click the “Update” button.
If there is a newer version of our extension than the one you are using, it will update.
Ensure Datapeople Anywhere is turned on
- Using the same instructions from above, navigate to Extensions -> Manage Extensions.
- Ensure the Datapeople Chrome extension is toggled "on".
Uninstall and Re-install
- Start Google Chrome.
- Click the vertical ellipsis icon in the browser toolbar.
- Select Extensions -> Manage Extensions.
- Click the "Remove" button by Datapeople Anywhere.
- Reinstall using this link.
- Refresh the page.
Enable third-party cookies
- Start Google Chrome.
- Click the vertical ellipsis icon in the browser toolbar.
- Select Settings -> Privacy and Security -> Third-party cookies.
- Select an option: Allow third-party cookies.
- Refresh the page where you expect to see Datapeople Anywhere.
Interference from other Chrome extensions
At times, some extensions that block your identity can interfere with the functioning of Datapeople Anywhere, or prevent it from appearing on your ATS page at all. If you are using any of these (a Google Analytics blocker, for example) try toggling that other extension off to see if it solves your problem.
Why can't I see the purple covers on my ATS page?
To initialize, Datapeople Anywhere requires specific content elements to be present on specific ATS pages. If any of the required elements cannot be found on the page, it treats the absence as an unknown configuration and limits certain actions. This means that the purple covers over the fields you would normally edit are no longer visible. Additionally, you do not see the score on the widget. However, you can still use the Write and Search tabs to draft a new job and access your Repository.
