Why do Datapeople's reports only show some candidate sources?

At Datapeople, we map all of your recruiting sources into five core sources. These are core source categories that represent unique recruiting efforts and channels, and organizing them in this way allows for both internal and external benchmarking.

Inbound Candidates who approached your company (via sites like LinkedIn, Career Site, Indeed, Monster, ZipRecruiter)
Outbound Candidates who the company actively reached out to (via agencies, prospecting and site likes TopFunnel and Wellfound)
Referral Candidates who are recommended for the position by current employees
Internal Candidates who currently work at your company
Other

Candidates whose source could not be determined.

If you are seeing a large amount of candidates in this category, please contact your Datapeople Account Rep and we will determine the cause of the discrepancy and resolve it quickly.

How does Datapeople map candidate sources?

Datapeople organizes your source information by comparing it to our database of job boards, which we actively annotate and update. We also clean up redundant source data (ex. LinkedIn. Linked In, linkedin) to provide a clear look at your specific source data.

If your source mapping looks incorrect or you have sources in your Other category that you would like re-mapped, please reach out to your Datapeople Account Rep.
